About Us

Planted in 1997, our church has strived for unity in all areas of faith in Jesus Christ. Lifehouse has been in the community of Stone Oak since 2004.

What are your weekend services like?

Each weekend at Lifehouse you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. You’ll also find a printed outline for notes in your bulletin that will help you make the most of each week’s teaching. Children are well cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled Lifehouse Kids service. Services begin at 9:15 and 11:00am Sunday morning.

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

We believe the Bible gives us a clear example to live in community with one another.

Where are you located?

Lifehouse is located in the Stone Oak community in the north central part of San Antonio. Our address is 20825 Wilderness Oak.

What about my children?

While you are in church, your child will go to LH Kids Church where they will learn about God, grow in a relationship with Jesus, & connect with their very own community of leaders and friends. Your child's safety is LH Kids' first priority. We use a secure system for child check-in and pick up, and all LH Kids staff and volunteers have been trained and screened to work with your children. Visit our Lifehouse Kids page for more information.

How can I meet others and get connected?

There are many ways to get involved. LifeGroups are another great way to connect.  You'll build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.

How can I be discipled and grow?

Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Classes such as Foundations and the community in our LifeGroups help make that happen. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Savior to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership.

Why do you have LifeGroups?

We believe that LifeGroups are an important part of Lifehouse Church; in fact, we believe that you won't have fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our LifeGroups.  You can meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God.  As our church grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected as part of the family.  LifeGroups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you!  Learn more about why we’re big on LifeGroups and find a group to join in our online directory.

How can I get involved in a LifeGroup?

We think one of the best things you can do at Lifehouse is to participate in a LifeGroup!  Groups meet throughout San Antonio and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there's a LifeGroup near you. Visit our online directory to sign up!

We believe that every church has the responsibility to walk in obedience to two important teachings that Jesus gave us:

  • Jesus replied "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets."  Matthew 22:36-40 ESV

  • And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned….And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.
  • Mark 16:15-16, 20 ESV

Every church has the responsibility to pursue these two commands, but how they accomplish them is what makes the local church unique. The local church is God's redemptive plan, and there are many shapes and sizes. The way that Lifehouse seeks to accomplish these commands is with a specific purpose in mind.

Our purpose at Lifehouse is to Connect People to Real Love and Real Life.

We filter every idea, program, and budget request through our purpose statement. If what we plan doesn’t help us meet our purpose, then we don’t do it. We also filter our decisions through a set of values that set the standard for our culture at Lifehouse.

We Value:

Generosity -We look for opportunities to give our time, talent, and treasures away for the sake of others.

"The generous will prosper, those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed." Proverbs 11:25

Restoration - Nothing is impossible with God. We believe that there is no person or situation beyond His ability to bring complete restoration.

"Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." Mark 10:27

Joy - We are forgiven and freed from the enemy's power of sin, sickness, lies, and torment. Now we live in the power of righteousness, healing, truth, and joy!

"Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are recieving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:8-9

Releasing - We are all ministers advancing His kingdom both inside and outside the church.

"In the last days, God says 'I will pour out my Spirit on all people, your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants both men and women, I will pour out my spirit in those days, and they will prophesy." Acts 2:17-18
