LIFEHOUSE CHURCH

COMMON QUESTIONS

01

What are your weekend services like?

Each weekend at Lifehouse you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. You’ll also find a printed outline for notes in your bulletin that will help you make the most of each week’s teaching. Children are well cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled Lifehouse Kids service. Services begin at 9:15 and 11:00am Sunday morning.

02

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

03

We believe the Bible gives us a clear example to live in community with one another.

04

Where are you located?

Lifehouse is located in the Stone Oak community in the north central part of San Antonio. Our address is 20825 Wilderness Oak.

05

What about my children?

While you are in church, your child will go to LH Kids Church where they will learn about God, grow in a relationship with Jesus, & connect with their very own community of leaders and friends. Your child's safety is LH Kids' first priority. We use a secure system for child check-in and pick up, and all LH Kids staff and volunteers have been trained and screened to work with your children. Visit our Lifehouse Kids page for more information.

How can I meet others and get connected?

There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending Step 1 - Connect. LifeGroups are another great way to connect. In each of these you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.

07

How can I be discipled and grow?

Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our LifeTrack offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership. Begin the process with our Step 1 - Connect.

08

Why do you have LifeGroups?

We believe that LifeGroups are an important part of Lifehouse Church; in fact, we believe that you won't have fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our LifeGroups. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As our church grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected as a part of the family. LifeGroups will be available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Learn more about why we’re big on LifeGroups, or find a group to visit in our online directory.

How can I get involved in a LifeGroup?

One of the easiest things we want you to be able to do at Lifehouse is to participate in a LifeGroup. Groups will meet throughout San Antonio and provide a place for Bible study, affinity, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there will be a LifeGroup near you. Visit our online directory

LIFEHOUSE CHURCH

OUR PURPOSE

We believe that every church has the responsibility to walk in obedience to the two important teachings that Jesus gave us:

Jesus replied "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets."  Matthew 22:36-40 ESV

And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned….And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.
Mark 16:15-16, 20 ESV

Every church has the responsibility to pursue these two commands, but how they accomplish them is what makes the local church unique. The local church is God's redemptive plan, and there are many shapes and sizes. The way that Lifehouse seeks to accomplish these commands is with a specific purpose in mind.

Our purpose at Lifehouse is to Connect People to Real Love, Real Life, Real Family.

We filter every idea, program, and budget request through our purpose statement. If what we plan doesn’t help us meet our purpose, then we don’t do it. We also filter our decisions through a set of values that set the standard for our culture at Lifehouse.

We Value:

1. Generous Living

2. Transformational Living

3. Creative Living

4. Joyful Living

5. Empowered Living
