What does a typical Sunday morning service look like? Hopefully, most of your questions will be answered here:

What is the service order?

A typical Sunday service will begin with 15 minutes of uplifting music and then a 30-40 minute sermon by the pastor followed by a call to worship in our giving and in song. Once a month we conclude each morning service with the celebration of communion (commonly referred to as "The Lord's Table" or "The Eucharist" in some churches). All are welcome to the Lord's Table with us.

Who will I meet?

In short, people just like you. lifehouse is made up of a variety of folks, ranging from the guy in the second row who has never been to a church in his life, to the gal in the back who was born and raised in a denominational church. What we all share in common is our humanness, and our desire to know, experience, and understand God and what He may have to say about our lives.

Do I have to stand up in front of people?

We know that some churches have the habit of making newcomers stand up and tell everyone their names so that all of the other folks can either clap or sing you a song. Though this can be a good idea, we know that it can also be highly stressful and awkward. So, no, you will not have to stand up in front of anybody.

Do you want my money?

No! As a guest, you are under no obligation to give. That is for our regular attenders who call lifehouse their church home.

Do I have to dress up?

The pastor wears jeans, so no, you do not have to dress up. You can if you want, and we know that some of the folks out there consider it disrespectful to not dress up for church, so with that in mind, we welcome all styles of clothing (except seersucker suits, we just don't find those practical).

Do I have to turn my kids over to a stranger?

Our children's church is the best, but you are welcome to have your children sit with you during the service. However, know that we love kids at lifehouse and we make their care and safety our highest priority!
